Live from the wheel
Checking on the hamster…
Squeekchain is mined by a real hamster. A sensor on its wheel turns every run into proof-of-work blocks on the Sepolia test network, and this page follows it live.
Mining activity
Settled on Sepolia by Squeekchain's oracle.

Hamster records
Personal bests measured by the wheel sensor and published by Squeekchain. Squeekchain counts each day from 12:00 to 12:00 UTC, so a night's run stays in one day.

How the wheel mines
The hamster runs
A Hall-effect sensor on an RP2040 board counts every turn of the wheel (about 88 cm of running each) and reports speed, rpm and distance.
Signed at the source
Each reading is signed on the device by a secure chip (Trust M, ECDSA P-256) before the oracle accepts it.
Runs become blocks
Every 10 minutes the oracle closes a round of the wheel's work and settles it on Sepolia as completed blocks.
Blocks mint SQK
Each block issues SQK on a halving schedule, plus a launch bonus for the first 97,020 blocks, toward a 2.1 billion cap.
